Individual Counseling Therapy
Our clinicians work closely with patients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. We believe in treating the whole patient with support and care so they can return to their daily lives with improved daily functions and a brighter future.

Off-Site Counseling
We bring mental health services to you. Our can clinicians provide counseling in schools or community settings across Frederick County. This removes barriers for families and youth who cannot travel to an office. We treat emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges in the environment where they occur.




Psychiatric Services
Our board certified psychiatric providers take a comprehensive approach to psychiatric treatment. We provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for
conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and schizophrenia.

Telehealth
Can't come in person? No problem. At Paraview Behavioral Health we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth appointments for Maryland residents from the comfort of home. Our telehealth services cover therapy sessions,
psychiatric evaluations, and medication management, with the same quality of care as in-person visits.
Telehealth is available for new and existing patients. Medicaid accepted for telehealth.

Peter Ige,
PMHNP
Mr. Peter Ige is a highly experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years
in the field of mental health. Throughout his career, he has worked in diverse clinical
environments, including community mental health centers, inpatient psychiatric units,
primary care collaborations, and private practice.
His clinical expertise includes diagnostic evaluations, psychopharmacology, crisis
stabilization, and supportive psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, and older adults.
He is passionate about providing culturally sensitive, patient-centered care and is
committed to empowering his clients through education, collaboration, and evidence-based
treatment. With decades of experience, he remains dedicated to advancing mental wellness,
reducing stigma, and supporting each patient's journey toward emotional balance and
improved quality of life.
Dr. Charity Ehiem, DNP
Dr. Charity Ehiem, DNP is a dual-certified Family and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She brings a holistic, whole-person approach to
mental health care, taking time to truly understand each patient's concerns, history,
and goals before developing a personalized treatment plan.
Dr. Ehiem specializes in managing anxiety, depression, and stress-related conditions,
with a particular commitment to providing safe, quality, evidence-based care that meets
patients where they are in their wellness journey.
Dr. Maureen Okonah, DNP,
PMHNP-BC
Dr. Maureen Okonah, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a highly skilled nurse practitioner with dual board certification in psychiatric
mental health and adult-gerontology nursing. She brings
extensive experience from outpatient clinics, community programs, and collaborative primary care environments.
Her clinical expertise spans diagnostic evaluations, psychopharmacology, and supportive
psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, ADHD, and schizophrenia. Dr. Okonah is committed to patient-centered care that emphasizes dignity, collaboration, and long-term wellness through individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
