Privacy Policy

Last updated August 5, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Paraview Behavioral Health ("Paraview," "we," "us") collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers the website only. How we protect your health information as a patient is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is required by HIPAA and explains your rights over your medical records.

Information you give us

You may provide information through the forms on this site:

  • Inquiry and new-patient forms. Your name, phone, email, the type of care you are looking for, your insurance plan name, scheduling preferences, and an optional note. We ask you not to include sensitive medical detail in the note field.
  • Referral form. The patient's name, date of birth, and contact details, plus the referring provider's name and practice information.
  • Careers form. The information you choose to share with us there.

Form submissions are sent over encrypted connections and routed into our scheduling and intake systems so we can respond. Vendors that process this information on our behalf sign Business Associate Agreements where required.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical and security data. Like most websites, our servers process your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use this to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and rate-limit automated traffic.
  • Bot protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script.
  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, such as which pages are visited. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not build a profile of you.
  • Advertising measurement. When we run search advertising campaigns, we use Google Ads conversion measurement. If you arrive from one of our ads and submit an inquiry form, Google records that a submission occurred so we can measure whether our ads work. This may involve a cookie set by Google to connect the visit to the ad click. The contents of your form are never shared: no name, contact information, health information, or anything else you typed. We do not use remarketing, and we do not build advertising audiences from site visitors.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your inquiry and begin intake and scheduling;
  • Verify your insurance and contact you about your request;
  • Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website;
  • Measure whether our advertising works, as described above;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your form submissions for advertising.

How we share information

  • Service providers. Vendors who host this website or process inquiries on our behalf, under agreements that require them to protect your information. Vendors that handle health information sign Business Associate Agreements.
  • Within our care systems. Information you submit is routed into our scheduling system and electronic health record so we can follow up. Once it is part of your record, it is protected as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, or to protect the safety of a person or the public.

Data retention and your choices

We keep website inquiry information only as long as needed to respond to you and to meet our legal and operational obligations. Information that becomes part of your medical record is retained according to Maryland record-retention requirements. You can:

  • Skip the forms entirely and contact us by phone at (301) 524-4659;
  • Ask what information we have about you;
  • Request corrections or deletion of website inquiry information, subject to legal limits;
  • Block or clear cookies through your browser settings.

Children's privacy

Our website is intended for use by adults, including the parents and guardians of our patients under 18. We treat patients ages 6 and older, and care for any patient under 18 is arranged with a parent or legal guardian, who is involved in intake and treatment.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website. We do, however, accept information about a child through our new patient and provider referral forms, when it is submitted by a parent or legal guardian, or by a referring clinician with the appropriate authority to share it. If you are submitting information about a minor, please do so only if you have that authority. Information about a minor is handled the same way as any other protected health information, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version, which applies to information we already have as well as information we receive in the future. The current version is always posted on this page.
