Terms of Use

Last updated June 15, 2026.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, intake forms, and online services (together, the "Services") provided by Paraview Behavioral Health ("Paraview," "we," "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

About our services

Our website provides information about Paraview Behavioral Health, our providers, and the outpatient psychiatric care we offer, along with tools to request an appointment and submit intake information. The Services are not a substitute for the professional medical judgment of a licensed provider, and using this website does not create a provider-patient relationship on its own. A provider-patient relationship is formed only after you establish care with one of our providers.

Not for emergencies

The Services are not designed for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or have a medical emergency, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. Paraview does not provide emergency or crisis services and does not monitor messages or form submissions in real time.

Who may use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services on your own behalf. Care for minors is arranged with a parent or legal guardian. By using the Services, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it.

Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle website information and your protected health information under HIPAA. Please do not include sensitive medical detail in general email or website messages, which are not a secure channel.

Appointments, payment, and cancellations

Fees, insurance billing, self-pay rates, and our cancellation and no-show policy are described on our Insurance & Payments page. You are responsible for amounts not covered by your insurance, including copays, coinsurance, and deductibles, and for any cancellation or no-show fees that apply.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate any law or the rights of others;
  • Submit false, misleading, or another person's information without authorization;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or our systems;
  • Upload malicious code, scrape data, or attempt to reverse engineer the Services.

Intellectual property

The content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and the Paraview name and mark, is owned by Paraview Behavioral Health or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial license to view the content for the purpose of learning about and accessing our care. All other rights are reserved.

Third-party links

The Services may link to third-party websites or resources (for example, crisis lines or insurer pages). We provide these for convenience and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

Disclaimers

The Services and website content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and information on the website is for general educational purposes and is not individualized medical advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paraview and its providers and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the website or Services. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and it does not affect the standard of care owed to you once you are an established patient.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
