Maternal Mental Health

Pregnancy and the months after birth are some of the most demanding seasons of life, and struggling does not make you a bad parent. We provide compassionate psychiatric care for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and postpartum depression (PPD), with medication management when it's appropriate and safe. We help you feel like yourself again while honoring the realities of pregnancy, feeding, and caring for a newborn, and we coordinate with your OB, primary care, or therapist as needed. We work to make care possible even on the hardest days.

Our approach to maternal mental health

Pregnancy and the months after birth are some of the most demanding seasons of life, and struggling does not make you a bad parent. We provide psychiatric care for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and postpartum depression (PPD), with medication management when it is appropriate and safe.

We weigh treatment options with the realities of pregnancy, feeding, and caring for a newborn in mind, and we coordinate with your OB, primary care, or therapist so everyone is on the same page.

You may benefit if you are…

Maternal Mental Health: common questions

Are medications safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Some are, and the right choice depends on your situation. We discuss the benefits and risks openly so you can make an informed decision, and we coordinate with your OB when needed.
