Our approach to adhd treatment
ADHD affects focus, organization, follow-through, and emotional regulation, at school, at work, and at home. We provide thorough psychiatric evaluation to confirm the diagnosis and rule out look-alikes such as anxiety or sleep problems, then build a medication plan that fits your life.
We consider both stimulant and non-stimulant options where appropriate, prescribe responsibly, and monitor closely. We coordinate with therapy or coaching when that is part of the plan.
Who this is for
You may benefit if you are…
- Teens and adults struggling with focus, organization, or follow-through
- Adults who suspect undiagnosed ADHD or want a formal evaluation
- Patients who want both stimulant and non-stimulant options considered
- People who want medication coordinated with therapy or coaching
What to expect
Care starts with a careful evaluation, because getting the diagnosis right matters before any prescription. If stimulant medication is part of the plan, telehealth rules can require an in-person visit or extra check-ins; we will tell you plainly what is involved for your situation.
ADHD Treatment: common questions
- Can adults be evaluated for ADHD here?
- Yes. Many of the people we evaluate are adults who were never diagnosed or who want a formal evaluation. We assess current symptoms and history to reach an accurate diagnosis.
- Do you prescribe stimulant medication for ADHD?
- We do when it is clinically appropriate, alongside non-stimulant options. Stimulants are controlled medications, so prescribing involves responsible monitoring and, depending on current rules, may require an in-person visit.
- Is ADHD care available by telehealth?
- Evaluations and many follow-ups work well by secure video across Maryland. Certain stimulant prescriptions may require an in-person visit; we will let you know what applies to you.
